What is Qigong?
Qigong is a gentle art that integrates movement and breath, and cultivates the body’s vital energy, or Qi (pronounced "chee"). Qigong is primarily performed standing, with simple movements of the arms and legs. These easy exercises do not require a change of clothes, special place, equipment or skills. In China, where it originated, Qigong is practiced by millions of people of all ages and body types. This practice improves health, circulation and vitality, reduces stress, calms the nervous system, and creates a general sense of well-being. Besides the physical benefits, Qigong can be practiced as a form of moving meditation, and can be an excellent way to prepare the body and mind for seated meditation. Qigong, when practiced mindfully, can lead to deeper access to wisdom and compassion.

Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
Will I have to lie on the ground?
Qigong is practiced standing or seated in a chair/sitting on a cushion on the ground. I encourage people to monitor their well-being and practice in a way that makes them most comfortable. Since this is an energy art, you can get much benefit from seated practice, if that is what you choose to do.
What are my parking options?
